Smart invoicing
Add a wallet, create an invoice, and watch its status change as the payment lands. This page walks through the whole flow.
The required flow
- Add at least one payout wallet.
- Create an invoice and link it to that wallet.
- Share the payment link and watch the status.
What you get
- Separate wallets for different currencies and blockchains.
- Invoices priced in fiat (EUR, USD, and others).
- Live status in one view: paid, underpaid, and pending.
- A clear record of which wallet each invoice pays out to.
1. Add a wallet
You need at least one payout wallet before you can issue an invoice. Every invoice is tied to a specific wallet, so funds arrive exactly where you expect them.
Open the Wallets section, click Add Wallet, fill out the form, and submit. The wallet shows up in the table and becomes selectable when you create an invoice.
- Currency: the coin the wallet receives (for example AVAX or BCH).
- Blockchain: the networks available for that currency.
- Nickname: an internal label such as “Main AVAX treasury”.
- Address: the public wallet address that receives funds.
2. Create an invoice
Once a wallet is set up you can create invoices. Each invoice locks in a fiat amount, such as 100 EUR, and the customer pays the equivalent in crypto through the linked wallet.
Open the Invoices section, click Create Invoice, fill in the details, and submit. You get a unique invoice and a payment link to send your customer.
- Wallet: which payout wallet receives the crypto.
- Amount: the fiat amount you want to receive, like 100.00.
- Currency: the fiat currency code, like EUR.
- Remarks: a short description for you and the payer (required).
- Attachment: an optional file such as a PDF invoice or contract.
- Expires in: the date and time after which the invoice can no longer be paid.
3. Track the status
After you share the link, CPTPayment watches the blockchain and updates the invoice status on its own.
- Paid: the full amount arrived and the invoice is settled.
- Underpaid: some funds arrived but less than the total. Settle the difference with your customer off-chain.
- Pending: the invoice is valid but no matching payment has been detected yet.
- Expired: the invoice passed its expiry without enough payment.
Fit it into your workflow
- Put your own order or contract ID in the Remarks field to tie invoices back to your system.
- Store the invoice ID and status in your backend, then use it to grant access (for example, unlock a subscription once an invoice is Paid).
- Create separate wallets per department, currency, or region and pick one per invoice.
- Open the detail view from the Actions column to see every blockchain transaction linked to an invoice.
