Frequently asked questions
Common questions about the platform, integrations, and crypto basics.
Is CPTPayment custodial?
No. Payments go straight to wallet addresses you control. We only track on-chain activity for the addresses or xpubs you give us.
What do you store?
Only what we need to run the service: your email, your public wallet addresses or xpubs, and the transaction data tied to them. No private keys.
Which coins are supported?
Over 35 cryptocurrencies and tokens across major blockchains, including BTC, ETH, USDT, and USDC.
What is a blockchain?
A shared ledger that records transactions across many computers, so the record cannot be changed after the fact. That is what makes it transparent and hard to tamper with.
What is a cryptocurrency wallet?
Software or a hardware device that lets you store, send, and receive crypto. It holds the private keys that authorize transactions on the blockchain.
Are crypto transactions anonymous?
Mostly they are pseudonymous. Your public address is visible on the blockchain, but it is not directly linked to your identity. Some coins, like Monero and Zcash, add more privacy.
